Gandhigram Trust has been approved by the Ministry of Finance of Government of India for exemption of donations from Income Tax under Section 35 AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) as per the notification given as under :

This term generally refers to money donated to a charity with the provision that the principle will not be spent, but the income from the principle or corpus will be used for the charity. We would use these funds for the provisions where we cannot or don’t have Government Funds. This is a permanent fund kept for the basic expenditures needed for the administration and survival of the organization.
