The Siddha & Ayurveda Medicine Manufacturing Unit was started in 1981 with the encouragement by Sri. Kondal Rao, who was then heading the IMPCOPS in Chennai. Initially gulkandhi and few other easily manufacturable products were produced, in all about 17 products were produced then. Started in a 3 acre land with merely 5 employees, today this sophisticated and hygine unit employs 120 people including 80 women.
