Creche At Gandhigram
There are about 7 creches which are managed by Gandhigram in the surrounding villages. The hospital manages 3 of these, in Kachchakatti, Katunayakanpatti and Vellayanpatti. The creches cater to the agricultural labourers and daily wage earners. It provides their children with shelter, security and care.

Creche At Sivasailam
There are three Crèches in Thirukkurunkudi, Semmangulam and Sivasailam respectively. Each crèche has about 25 children. There is one teacher and 2 Ayahs at each of the crèche. These people are employed from the villages in the area.

The teacher gets an amount from the Government towards the noon meal scheme and her salary. Financial needs beyond this are taken care of by the Ashram.

The parents are supposed to give a minimum amount for maintenance, but this does not happen as the entire area belongs to very poor section of population.

One crèche is supported by the TVS Group.
